On December 28, 2023, the reporter learned from the National Pipeline Construction Project Management Branch that the NPS24 900 pound forced sealing ball valve led by the company has successfully passed localization appraisal and industrial testing, and has been applied to the Shenyang metering station on the China Russia East Line. The product is also planned to be promoted and applied in the construction of the National High Flow Measurement Station Guiyang Branch, West East Gas Pipeline 3, West East Gas Pipeline 4, and subsequent gas pipeline and measurement station projects undertaken by the National Pipeline Construction Project Management Branch.
It is reported that as a key equipment of a large flow metering station, a forced sealed ball valve is used for measuring pipelines related to metering and calibration, to ensure that the measuring pipelines can be reliably closed when closed, meet the requirement of zero leakage, and ensure the accuracy of metering and calibration results. Due to its high frequency of use in metrological verification operations, this product needs to have characteristics such as reliable quality, stable performance, accurate adjustment, rapid response, wide adjustable range, and stable flow state. Previously, the maximum specification for domestically produced forced seal ball valves was 16 inches and 900 pounds, and large diameter forced seal ball valves with 18 inches and above mainly relied on imports. Foreign manufacturers are unable to provide timely maintenance spare parts, which directly affects the normal use of valves and thus affects the normal operation of metering stations. With the acceleration of the National Pipeline Network Group's "One Network for All" strategy and the rapid development of oil and gas pipeline construction, the demand for high-end ball valves is becoming increasingly urgent.
In 2021, the National Pipeline Construction Project Management Branch took on this localization project and collaborated with domestic advantageous manufacturers to carry out the project of "localization of large diameter forced sealing ball valves and axial flow control valves". They developed a 24 inch 900 pound forced sealing ball valve to solve the problem of import dependence on large diameter valves required by metrology and calibration stations in national key projects, ensuring the maintenance and normal use of valves in the later stage, Fully localize the large-diameter forced sealing ball valve used in natural gas long-distance pipeline engineering.
On September 4, 2023, after the mandatory sealing ball valve completed its factory inspection, the company commissioned Changji Testing Field to conduct industrial tests on the product. The results of the operation status inspection, noise detection, valve sealing inspection, full pressure differential switch test, reverse switch test, and other tests of the test valve under actual working conditions on site all meet the requirements of the Industrial Test Outline for Forced Sealing Ball Valves. The product has successfully passed industrial test acceptance. The appraisal committee believes that the large-diameter forced sealing ball valve developed in this project has independent intellectual property rights, fills the domestic gap, and its main technical indicators have reached the advanced level of similar international products.
